Vince: Okay, you recording? Good. Alright, I am going to shower and get ready for bed. [He laughs softly.] Uh, this is kind of embarrassing, but I have to admit, on nights like this when I have to uh, drive back from group and drive through the farmland... I- I think I’m gonna leave this running for a little bit. It’s almost like a uh...uh, like a nightlight or a security blanket, I guess, it's just... I feel so strange I get goosebumps when I walk in on nights like this. It’s almost like a companion, when your friends are away. [He chuckles.] Yeah. That’s it.
Alright, so, what do I need to do? [We hear a pen clicking.] Let me finish this journal here. [We hear the sound of Vince writing.] And.. Okay. Alright.
[We hear the sounds of Vince walking, opening a door, and then closing it. Vince pulls back the shower curtain and turns on the shower, which we hear it run for a full minute then stop.]
[Audio cuts. Silence, then we hear a strange metalic noise, then moresilence. There is the sound of a tape being loaded into a tape deck. A song begins to play: New Order, released in 1988, by Blue Monday. It plays for around two and a half minutes.]
[Audio cuts. Vince yawns, then hums the song that was playing earlier. We hear the sound of his closet/drawers opening and closing, the sounds of Vince changing clothes. He yawns again.]
Vince: Okay. [The 'click' of the light switch.] Alright. Goodnight.
